Job summary

Primrose School of Evergreen in San Jose, CA is hiring an Early Preschool Classroom Teacher to care for children aged 2 to 3, guiding their growth with our research-based curriculum and supportive teaching team. You will work with a paired co-teacher, an assigned support teacher, and an Education Coach to plan, implement, and assess daily lessons while maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• MUST have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required. (Child development, Child-family-community, two Curriculum classes)
• Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
• Must meet required state background check
• Must be able to work on an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.

Responsibilities

• Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning
• Provides a safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children
• Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials
• Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
