Job summary

Primrose School of Evergreen in San Jose, CA is seeking a Preschool Teacher to provide a fun, safe environment for 3- and 4-year-olds. You will follow our schedule and researched curriculum to meet each child at their level and guide them through small-group instruction as they grow in understanding increasingly complex information.

You will benefit from a carefully paired co-teacher, dedicated Education Coach, fully stocked classroom, and ongoing support to develop your skills in a thriving

Qualifications

• Must have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required.
• Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
• Must be able to work on an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.

Responsibilities

• Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning.
• Provides a safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children.
• Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials.
• Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
