Job summary

Children's Choice Academy in Escondido, CA seeks a Preschool Teacher to implement an age-appropriate curriculum and create engaging learning experiences for children. The role requires strong classroom management, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety and collaborative family partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have 12 ECE units and at least 2 years of preschool teaching experience, plus DSS background clearance and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• 12 ECE units, including Child Development, Child, Family & Community, plus one additional Child Development course and one elective course.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool/School-Age Teacher or similar.
• Ability to pass DSS background clearance.
• Current Mandated Reporter Certification.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Comfortable learning new technology and software applications.
• Adaptable and team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the company-selected curriculum and create engaging learning experiences for preschool and school-age children.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with classroom themes and developmental goals.
• Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and inventory according to standards.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively.
• Work closely with fellow teachers and leadership team members to support program success.
• Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
