Job summary

Children's Choice Academy in Escondido is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team. This full-time, hourly non-exempt position offers a stable schedule Monday through Friday with no weekends, and a competitive salary based on experience.

The Preschool Teacher will implement age-appropriate curricula, create engaging activities, ensure a safe and welcoming classroom, and support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development while collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 ECE units, including Child Development, Child, Family & Community, and one additional course.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool Teacher or related role preferred.
• Ability to pass DSS background clearance.
• Current Mandated Reporter Certification.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Comfortable learning new technology and software applications.
• Adaptable and willing to work as part of a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the company-selected curriculum and create engaging learning experiences for preschool and school-age children.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with classroom themes and developmental goals.
• Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and inventory according to company standards and licensing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and company policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, development, and daily activities.
• Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively.
• Work closely with fellow teachers and leadership team members to support program success.
• Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and interactions.
