Job summary

Children’s Choice Preschool in San Diego County is seeking a caring Preschool Teacher to join our team. Our teachers foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while supporting each child’s developmental growth.

The ideal candidate has California Title 22 eligibility, 12 ECE units, and patience with families. We offer paid training, full-time schedules, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 Early Childhood Education units meeting California Title 22 Teacher requirements.
• Students currently enrolled in ECE coursework encouraged to apply and working toward CA Title 22 eligibility.
• Coursework should include Early Child Growth and Development; Child, Family & Community; Infant & Toddler.
• At least 1–2 years Preschool teaching experience preferred.
• Positive, patient, professional demeanor; able to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Instruct preschool-aged children using the Zoo-phonics curriculum; training provided.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Attend 1–3 monthly trainings and staff meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and concerns.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Coach and guide assistant teachers with clear expectations and support.
• Complete DRDP assessments and maintain required documentation.
