Job summary

Children's Paradise in Escondido, CA seeks a Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom under the Quality Preschool Initiative. You will supervise Instructional Assistants and collaborate with children, families and staff to ensure high-quality early childhood education.

You will implement a rich curriculum (Creative Curriculum and PITC) and use the CLASS tool to guide teaching, while maintaining health, safety and orderly centers with engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in ECE/Child Development or higher required.
• 24 ECE units and ability to attain Child Development Teacher's Permit or higher.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and PITC Curriculum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the educational care and development of a specific classroom.
• Supervise all Instructional Assistants (IA's) and support High Quality learning for students, parents & families.
• Collaborate with children, staff & families to assure High Quality early childhood education.
• Plan and implement a rich curriculum using Creative Curriculum and PITC; maintain interest centers.
