Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our Bloomington-area team. You’ll support daily classroom operations, help deliver Cadence Education programs, and foster a safe, nurturing environment that addresses children’s developmental needs and IEPs.

Responsibilities include greeting families, assisting in curriculum delivery, and maintaining licensing compliance, while collaborating with a Lead Teacher and School Director.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred, but not required if state licensing requirements are met.
• Must meet all state licensing qualifications for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
• Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children are treated with dignity, respect, and care.
• Greet children and families daily and help establish welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed.
• Support Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools and systems.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents and incidents.
• Assist in managing and escalating child behaviors per Cadence policies.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.
