Job summary

Cadence Education in Normal, IL is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will support daily classroom operations, help deliver a research-based curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment for young learners including those with IEPs.

Under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher, you’ll build positive relationships with children and families, follow licensing guidelines, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a teacher.
• Experience in early childhood or group care settings preferred.
• CDA preferred but not required if state licensing requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual development needs incl. IEPs.
• Assist Lead Teacher with developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families using approved tools.
• Follow Safety and Supervision Manual; report incidents.
• Help manage and document child behaviors per policies.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
