Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team and support a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

You will assist in implementing Cadence Education programs, help with individualized plans such as IEPs, and maintain professional communication with families and staff. This role emphasizes safety, licensing compliance, and ongoing professional development to grow within a leading early childhood education organization.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for Teacher Assistant in a licensed childcare center.
• Experience in early childhood or classroom settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental and learning needs (IEPs and behavioral plans).
• Support planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents accordingly.
• Assist with documenting and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development, possibly outside regular hours.
