Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence programs. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing environment, addressing children's physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs, including those with IEPs.

The role reports to School Director and Lead Teacher, contributing to licensing compliance and engaging activities for learners in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures (Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle-feeding, Safe Sleep).
• Strong teamwork in a classroom setting.
• Clear reading, writing, and speaking in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, respectful classroom environment with care and dignity for every child.
• Greet children and families daily to build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in addressing developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs per IEPs and plans.
• Support planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence tools.
• Follow Cadence Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents per policy.
• Help manage and report escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, possibly outside regular hours.
