Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs. You will help create a safe, nurturing learning environment and assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curricula.

The role involves working under the School Director and leads, maintaining safety, respecting individual child needs including IEPs, and collaborating with a supportive team across 340+ schools. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires state licensing qualifications for Teacher Assistant.
• Background checks and health screenings required.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
• Experience in early childhood preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment, ensuring each child is treated with care, dignity, and respect.
• Greet children and families daily and help build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed.
• Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence‑approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents and incidents accordingly.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors according to Cadence procedures.
