Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence programs at our New York location. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and assist with developmentally appropriate activities, including support for children with IEPs as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, and adherence to policy, with opportunities for CDA, training, and career growth within a 340+-school network.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for Teacher Assistant.
• Background clearances and health screenings required.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily.
• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Support with behavior management according to policies.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff.
• Adhere to safety and supervision manuals and documentation.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
• Flexibility with scheduling and enrollment changes.
