Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant for our Randolph, NJ location. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and developmental needs, including those with IEPs, under the supervision of the School Director and Lead Teacher.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Background clearances and health screenings required.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
• Prior experience in early childhood or classroom settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional relationships.
• Assist in recognizing individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.
