Job summary

Cadence Education in Wisconsin is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing learning environment and assist with developmentally appropriate Cadence programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration with families and staff. A degree is preferred, state licensing requirements must be met, and background checks are required;

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum state licensing requirements must be met for employment.
• Background clearances and health screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment with care and dignity for each child.
• Greet children and families daily and foster professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs.
• Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and document incidents as policy.
• Assist with managing escalated child behaviors and report according to procedures.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
