Job Description: Preschool Staff Member

We are seeking a part-time staff member for our Preschool class at a classical and Catholic homeschool hybrid program in Nashville, TN, for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Preschool staff cares for toddlers aged 4 years and younger. We maintain a small adult-to-child ratio. No certification or formal teaching experience is required; we will provide all necessary training.

The ideal candidate may have experience with babysitting, childcare, parenting, homeschooling, working with homeschool children, Catholic ministry, Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or experience in a classical or private school, though these are not mandatory. A love for babies and toddlers is essential.

About Regina Caeli Academy

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is a classical homeschool academy rooted in the Catholic tradition. RCA offers instruction in a Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The positions are hourly, with complimentary childcare/nursery provided. Please review our Vacation and Holy Days schedule. No additional vacation days are granted, except for sick days as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and live the Catholic faith daily, including receiving all appropriate sacraments.
• Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided.
• Training will be provided for instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship are desired.

All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 3:00 pm. Applicants are required to complete online staff training modules and assessments.
