Job summary

The Learning Experience in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You will create an engaging, structured classroom where preschoolers build confidence, independence, friendships, and important early learning skills through purposeful play and hands-on experiences.

Qualifications

• Must meet Maryland requirements to serve as a qualified Preschool Teacher.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous preschool/childcare experience preferred.
• CDA or ECE coursework or related credentials are a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team oriented.
• Ability to meet all Maryland childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Preschool classroom.
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance.
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
• Follow Maryland childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
