Job summary

The Learning Experience - Gaithersburg is seeking a nurturing Toddler Teacher for our Early Childhood Education program in Gaithersburg, MD. The role focuses on guiding toddlers through routines and age-appropriate activities to foster language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities include implementing the LEAP Curriculum, supporting families, and maintaining safe, structured classroom environments on a full-time schedule (Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Must meet Maryland requirements to serve as a qualified Infant/Toddler Teacher.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Toddler classroom.
• Implement The Learning Experience's LEAP Curriculum.
• Create age-appropriate activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, and exploration.
• Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence and developing self-help skills.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain documentation.
• Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership.
• Follow Maryland childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

The Learning Experience - Gaithersburg is seeking a nurturing and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Toddlers are developing new words, independence, confidence, and social skills every day. We're looking for an educator who can provide the structure and nurturing support young children need while turning their natural curiosity into meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience working specifically with infants or toddlers is a plus
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus

• Ability to meet all applicable Maryland childcare licensing requirements
