The Learning Experience - Clarkston in Clarkston, MI is seeking an experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to guide a daily classroom focused on building confidence, independence, and early academics.

You will lead routines, implement the LEAP Curriculum, collaborate with families and fellow teachers, and ensure a safe, engaging, compliant learning environment for young children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous professional preschool, daycare, or childcare experience required.
• Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented.
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Preschool classroom routines and learning activities.
• Implement The Learning Experience's LEAP Curriculum.
• Create engaging experiences supporting early literacy, math, language, science, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence, problem-solving, communication, and positive peer relationships.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance.
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and classroom support staff.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and engaging classroom.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Preschool Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Clarkston, MI

Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Clarkston is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Lead Teacher to create an engaging classroom where children build confidence, independence, and the early academic skills they need for kindergarten.

We're looking for an educator who enjoys taking ownership of a classroom, creating meaningful learning experiences, and working collaboratively with families and fellow teachers.
