The Learning Experience - Gaithersburg is seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Gaithersburg, MD. You will lead activities, support foundational literacy and math skills, and foster social-emotional development through play and structured routines.

The ideal candidate has a Maryland qualification, a high school diploma or GED, and a passion for nurturing young learners.

Qualifications

• Must meet Maryland requirements to serve as a qualified Preschool Teacher.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous professional preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred.
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented.
• Ability to meet all applicable Maryland childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Preschool classroom
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
• Follow Maryland childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
