Job summary

The YMCA of Southern Nevada is seeking a Preschool Director to lead the Heinrich YMCA preschool, overseeing two classrooms for ages 3-5 in a full-time, in-person role at the Bill and Lillie Heinrich YMCA.

Responsibilities include curriculum alignment to Nevada Ready! standards and HighScope, budget management, KPI tracking, staff supervision, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on customer service and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 15 ECE units or two years related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with child care management software (Daxko, Procare, or similar) preferred.
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid for Professional Rescuers Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Heinrich YMCA preschool operations and curriculum.
• Ensures alignment with Nevada Pre-K Standards, HighScope Curriculum, and grant requirements.
• Develops and manages the department budget and monitors KPIs.
• Supervises and trains department staff for high-quality program delivery.
• Manages registrations and parent inquiries within 24 hours.
• Maintains licensing and regulatory documentation.
