Job summary

Southern District YMCA in Hampton, NH, seeks a Lead Preschool Teacher to oversee curriculum development and classroom operations for ages 3–5. You will lead staff, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

Role requires collaboration with families, observation and assessment of child progress, and ongoing professional development. Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 7:30am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Experience in lead teacher or supervisory roles in child care.
• CPR & First Aid certification required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Lead daily classroom operations and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
• Supervise staff and volunteers; mentor classroom aides.
• Communicate with families about children's development and activities.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain required records.
