Job summary

The Crown Point Community School Corporation is seeking a Preschool Paraprofessional at Lake Street Elementary to assist teachers with implementing IEPs for students identified with disabilities.

Responsibilities include supporting play-based learning, ensuring student safety, and maintaining confidentiality while collaborating with teachers, staff, and families. The role requires preparing for classrooms and adhering to team procedures within a preschool setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• Sixty semester hours of college credit required.
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (facilitated by CPCSC).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Support play-based learning in the preschool environments.
• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Be professional when dealing with students, staff, and parents.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of a positive work environment.
• Be on time and maintain good attendance, report to the requested area or work site.
• Attend in-services upon notification, when provided during a school day.
• Follows team prescribed procedures for academic, social, communication and behavioral intervention plans.
• May support activities of daily living including toileting, feeding and diapering.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students and staff.
• Participate in regularly scheduled professional development opportunities.
• Maintain the high level of ethical behavior that is expected of CPCSC staff.
