Job summary

LAKE HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is seeking a Paraprofessional for PreK to assist with implementing Individual Education Programs for students with disabilities. The role involves supporting teachers across settings and helping with educational, mobility, and behavior support within the school and community.

The position is 5.75 hours per day, school-year schedule, reports to the Building Principal, and requires a high school diploma and Para Pro credentials or 60 college credits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
• Experience working with students; positive influence in students' lives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Comply with rules and procedures set by Building Principal.
• Be part of the total support team for students and staff.
• Be professional with students, staff, and parents.
• Support the teacher and related staff who provide service for the student.
• Assist with development and maintenance of a positive work environment.
• Communicate concerns to administrator or teacher in a timely and professional manner.
• Attend in-services when provided during a school day.
