Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support preschool students in a Norristown, PA area school. The role emphasizes developing essential life skills through direct and consultative services.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, conduct evaluations, and participate in IEP planning to monitor progress while ensuring documentation complies with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for Pennsylvania.
• Experience working in school settings, ideally with early childhood or preschool populations.
• Ability to deliver both direct interventions and consultative/indirect support to students.
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills to inform service delivery and eligibility.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, especially when working with multidisciplinary teams such as MDE/IEP groups.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to support student participation and success in preschool programs.
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, gathering data to determine students' needs for special services.
• Work closely with MDE (Multidisciplinary Evaluation) and IEP (Individualized Education Program) teams to set and revise goals, deliver updates, and ensure that student progress is accurately monitored.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support inclusion, adaptations, and a positive early education experience.
• Maintain thorough documentation related to assessments, treatment, and student progress in compliance with school and state regulations.
