Job summary

Oxford Consulting Services, Inc. in New Jersey seeks a certified Occupational Therapist to provide K-12 school-based services.

You will work one-on-one with students and collaborate with educators and staff to design customized programs that advance each student’s goals and needs using a holistic, client-centered approach. The ideal candidate holds an NJ OT license, NJ School Certification, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, and at least two years of pediatric experience, including

Qualifications

• New Jersey OT license is required.
• NJ School Certification required.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• MS degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• At least 2 years working as an Occupational Therapist.
• At least 1 year of school-based or clinical experience with children aged 3–18.
• Experience in IEP services and assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• K-12 caseload management.
• Address client’s progress and engagement in occupations affecting health, well-being and living quality.
• Determine and implement the client’s treatment methodology and interventions.
• Provide therapeutic services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and sensory needs.
• Plan, engage, and implement IEPs.
• Educate clients on best practices for approaching tasks and mentor toward small goals.
• Provide care and instruction to family members and caregivers.
• Oversight, data collection and correction on client progress towards treatment markers.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
