Job summary

Rush County Schools is looking for an Instructional Assistant to support certified staff in meeting instructional goals. This role involves guiding students in academic subjects and managing classroom activities to foster a productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma, an understanding of diverse learning needs, and the ability to work compassionately with special needs students. Experience in educational settings is preferred. This position is non-exempt and may require travel between schools.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and use written or oral instructions effectively.
• Prior experience working with special needs children is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students in learning areas including reading and math.
• Support students with special needs to maximize their learning.
• Maintain classroom management and assist with behavioral issues.
