Pediatrics Plus is seeking a devoted Preschool Lead Teacher to guide early learners in a nurturing, structured environment. You will supervise teaching staff, implement lesson plans, and monitor progress based on individualized treatment plans while maintaining safety and engaging families.

The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork, daily routines, and adherence to childcare guidelines, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive work culture.

Responsabilités

• The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for the classroom, including assessing clients, ensuring treatment plans are carried out, and supervising Teaching Assistants.
• Manages and participates in all classroom activities.
• Circle Time and Curriculum, Center Time, Arrivals, Departures, Transition Activities, Academic Activities, Recess Time, Mealtime, Nap Time, and other activities as determined by leadership.
• Reviews the clients treatment plan and makes suggestions of changes to the Early Childhood Behavior and Classroom Coach, as requested.
• Ensures that the clients treatment plan is implemented to maximize the treatment of the client served.
• Refers clients for additional clinical services as needed, in collaboration with the Director and leadership.
• Implements, modifies, and ensures completion of daily lesson plans.
• Ensures required reports are updated, completed, and turned in on time.
• Ensures classroom billing via deTASO by signing daily.
• Ensures classroom supplies are stocked daily.
• Maintains visual supervision of the clients and completes headcount during transitions.
• Maintains a positive emotional climate for clients by showing respect and using approved discipline techniques.
• Follows Pediatrics Pluss classroom management techniques under guidance of leadership.
• Maintains an environment conducive to preventative discipline through teachable moments with clients.
• Speaks in a well-modulated, pleasant voice to clients, parents, and team members.
• Attends and participates in job-related center functions such as Parent Teacher Conferences and Training Day.
• Represents the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
• Maintains a clean, safe, healthy, sanitary learning environment and ensures clients are kept clean and toys disinfected daily.
• During active periods, promotes gross and fine motor development with clients.
• Reports health and safety concerns promptly to the Director or Nurse.
• Completes 15 hours of in-service trainings per fiscal year.
• Follows company policies and regulatory requirements (EIDT, AR Childcare Licensing, AR Health Department).
• Maintains client and staff confidentiality and handles information requests per policy.
• May perform housekeeping/janitorial tasks as needed.
• Participates in one-on-one meetings with leadership and assists in training new hires.
• Engages with clients during all scheduled activities and participates in play inside and on the playground.
• Delivers teaching through daily curriculum activities and supports Teaching Assistants.
