Merced County Community Action is seeking an assistant cook and driver to support a project kitchen and deliver meals to sites. The role requires preparing meals, measuring ingredients, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

A valid CA driver’s license and reliable transport are expected for meal delivery duties. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2 years cooking experience, and willingness to obtain Serve Safe certification within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain Serve Safe certification within three months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a cook in a large kitchen, serving up to 200 meals at a time.
• Knowledge of cooking, sanitation and nutrition requirements.
• Ability to follow recipes and adjust for volume.

Aufgaben

• Cook nutritionally balanced meals and dispense foods.
• Plan schedules so meals are ready on time and monitor safety and sanitation.
• Operate ovens, ranges, mixers and other kitchen equipment.
• Deliver meals to child development sites and load/unload vehicle.
• Maintain simple records and assist with reports.
