Job summary

EveryChild California is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support our food program in California. Responsibilities include food preparation, cleaning, setting up meal service, and assisting with delivery and related tasks to support residents in need.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial or institutional food service, may require a California driver's license for travel, and must follow safety rules to ensure maximum safety for colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or institutional food service is preferred.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license and DMV record may be required for travel.

Responsibilities

• Clean during production and after meal service; keep equipment and surfaces clean and sanitized.
• Set up meal service for classes.
• Load and unload food transport containers.
• Deliver meals from a central kitchen using CAPSLO vehicle.
• Assist with pre-preparation of fruits and vegetables and mixing prepared foods.
• Support CAPSLO goals and adhere to safety rules.
