Job summary

KinderCare Education is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children at our centers. You’ll follow menus developed by our in-house nutritionist, ensuring safety and portion accuracy to fuel learning and growth.

The role requires a love for children, awareness of allergies, and the ability to work with center staff to support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals. Basic math and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Loves children and wants to make a daily difference.
• Knowledge of food allergies and safe cross-contamination.
• Able to follow nutritious menus and prepare meals.
• Basic math for portions and servings.
• Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least 1 year institutional cooking; 2+ years with children preferred.
• English communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication, as requested.
• Document accurately according to licensing rules.
• Assist with daily center duties as needed.
• Support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
