Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a dedicated Pre-school/Kindergarten Teacher Aide to support classroom instruction and student learning in Catholic schools.

The role reports to the assigned teacher and assists with daily activities, maintains confidentiality, fosters Christian values, and helps guide students age 3 to 6 through lessons. Requires high school diploma and some college hours in early childhood development; degree preferred. Full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children (ages 3–6)
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and support classroom activities
• Knowledge of basic Catholic educational principles (Salesian/Education Philosophy)

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom instruction as directed by the teacher
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
• Support students in staying on task and learning
• Help supervise students in playground and cafeteria
• Assist with transitions to instructional areas and restrooms
• Attend on-campus inservices as required
