Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks an Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers in planning, guiding, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment. You will help evaluate student learning, prepare instructional materials, assist with activities, and support learning as defined by the teacher and school philosophy.

Responsibilities include supervising students, upholding safety protocols, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff to promote a positive learning

Qualifications

• Knowledge of school procedures and policies.
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Physical ability to lift a student if required by job assignment.
• Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and on a team.
• Good written and verbal skills; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Assist teacher in instruction and supervision of students.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom setup.
