Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks an Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers in a Christ-centered Catholic school environment. You will help plan and implement instructional activities, assist with students, and support learning that aligns with the teacher's guidance.

This role emphasizes faith-based values, confidentiality, safety compliance, and collaboration with staff to uphold the school's mission. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of higher education or an Associate degree.
• Experience with children in day camps, youth groups, schools, or licensed day-care centers.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver license.
• Must pass Safe Environment requirements and background screening.
• Must pass Texas DPS fingerprint-based screening.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold Catholic education philosophy and school mission.
• Assist the teacher in preparing materials and guiding learning activities.
• Provide student supervision before, during, and after school.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Follow safety training and precautionary procedures daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
