Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or 48 college hours preferred.
• Qualified for Texas educational aide certificate per ESSA requirements.
• Experience assisting in reading, writing, and math instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher; work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with supplies.
• Support teachers with records and reports; orient substitutes as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, arrival/dismissal, and recess as required.
• Follow district safety protocols and participate in staff development.
