Job summary

The Salvation Army in Naples, FL is seeking a Child Development Center Director to oversee daily operations, curriculum, and staff supervision at a licensed preschool program.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and at least three years of progressive teaching experience, including two years in a supervisory role, with knowledge of licensing standards and program compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Three years progressively responsible experience teaching early childhood education with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, supervises, and monitors the day-to-day operations of the Child Development Center, pre-school; ensures compliance with accepted child care practices and licensing regulations, as well as, school policies and procedures.
• Hires, supervises and evaluates Child Development Center workers; plans, prioritizes, coordinates, and monitors employees work in progress and upon completion; instructs and trains in proper methods and procedures; conducts performance evaluations; provides constructive and positive feedback to employees.
• Plans, develops, and monitors curriculum content of classes, giving specific as well as general guidance to each class worker.
