Job summary

The Salvation Army Naples Corps in Naples, FL is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator to oversee daily classroom operations and foster positive relationships with children and families. The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate activities aligned with core curriculum and teamwork with staff.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning support, material preparation, maintaining a safe classroom, conducting assessments, and keeping accurate child records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and relevant coursework.
• Two years' experience in early childhood programs or Child Development Accreditation with additional experience.
• Three years' experience in early childhood programs or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a balanced enrichment program tailored to the children's age group and core curriculum.
• Assists with staff in planning and developing curriculum and trains staff in approved methods.
• Prepares educational materials required to implement daily activity plans.
• Maintains a safe, orderly classroom and trains children in emergency procedures.
• Conducts child development assessments and parent conferences as needed; records observations.
• Maintains up-to-date child records and informs office staff of changes.
