Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under supervision, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. You will assist with Cadence programs, communicate with families, and help implement developmentally appropriate curricula.

The role requires teamwork, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to follow IEPs and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures including food handling and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, but not required if state licensing is met.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications and background health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, respectful classroom environment and treat each child with care and dignity.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Follow IEPs and behavior plans as directed and respond to individual needs.
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Safety and Supervision Manual and document accidents and incidents per policy.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development outside regular hours.
