Job summary

The Learning Experience in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Center Director to collaborate with the Center Director in daily operations while fostering a joyful, educational environment for children and staff.

You will lead by example, ensure health and safety compliance, manage records and inventories, and drive enrollment growth. The role emphasizes community engagement and strong partnerships with families and vendors.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).
• Active Florida Director's Credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees.
• Ensure the center environment adheres to health and safety SOPs, complying with local and state licensing.
• Maintain student and family records accurately and in line with policies.
• Manage center inventory including office supplies, food, curriculum, and recognition items.
• Oversee vendor relationships for facility maintenance and technology support.
• Drive enrollment growth and family retention through tours and community events.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field

As the Assistant Center Director at The Learning Experience, You Will:

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.
• Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Maintains physical and electronic filing systems for student and family records with accuracy and in compliance with TLE operating procedures following local and state regulations
• Manages center inventory: office supplies, food, curriculum, staff recognition items, etc.
• Manages vendor relationships including facility maintenance and technology support
• Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.

• Have two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).
• Have an Active Florida Director's Credential.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (highly preferred).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
