Job summary

The Learning Experience - Historic Williamsburg is seeking an Assistant Center Director for our Williamsburg, VA campus. You will partner with the Center Director to manage daily operations and foster a joyful, collaborative environment that supports children, families, and teachers.

Please bring 2+ years of center leadership/management or at least 1 year, plus knowledge of Virginia licensing rules. A Bachelor's in ECE or related field is highly preferred to drive program quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).
• Meet Virginia's Program Director requirements, as well as any other state-specific guidelines for the role.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees.
• Ensure the center environment adheres to health and safety SOPs and licensing regulations.
• Maintain student and family records in accordance with procedures and state rules.
• Manage center inventory, including supplies, curriculum, and staff recognition items.
• Oversee vendor relationships covering facility maintenance and technology support.
• Drive business results through family retention, enrollment growth, and efficient operations.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage families via in-person and virtual tours and organize community events to boost enrollment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field

As the Assistant Center Director at The Learning Experience, You Will:

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.
• Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Maintains physical and electronic filing systems for student and family records with accuracy and in compliance with TLE operating procedures following local and state regulations
• Manages center inventory: office supplies, food, curriculum, staff recognition items, etc.
• Manages vendor relationships including facility maintenance and technology support
• Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.

Requirements
