Job summary

The Learning Experience in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Assistant Center Director to partner with the Center Director to oversee daily operations and support the growth of children and teachers in a joyful, collaborative environment.

You will lead by example, ensure health and safety compliance, manage records and inventory, nurture vendor relationships, drive enrollment growth, and oversee accounts receivable and marketing events to engage families.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year (required).
• Meet Virginia's Program Director requirements and any state guidelines for the role.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, display passion for helping children and staff, and foster trust, rapport, and inclusivity.
• Ensure center health and safety SOPs and licensing compliance.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic student/family records per procedures and regulations.
• Manage center inventory: supplies, food, curriculum, recognition items, etc.
• Oversee vendor relationships including facility maintenance and technology support.
• Drive retention, enrollment growth, and efficient operations through data-driven actions.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage families via in-person and virtual tours and organize community marketing events.

As the Assistant Center Director at The Learning Experience, You Will

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.
• Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Maintains physical and electronic filing systems for student and family records with accuracy and in compliance with TLE operating procedures following local and state regulations.
• Manages center inventory: office supplies, food, curriculum, staff recognition items, etc.
• Manages vendor relationships including facility maintenance and technology support.
• Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.
