Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation seeks an Early Childhood Teacher at Simon Says Early Childhood Center to provide a safe, faith-aligned learning environment for young children.

You will support social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical growth through structured activities, play-based learning, and family engagement. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with young children, and ability to meet licensing and background screening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children.
• Ability to meet state licensing requirements including background screening and health documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
• Preferred: CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, faith-aligned learning environment.
• Supervise children with developmentally appropriate guidance.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and sanitize toys and surfaces.
• Communicate with families and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
• Follow Archdiocese and licensing regulations and ensure safety.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
• Demonstrate reliability and uphold mission and values.
