Steamboat Springs School District RE-2 in Colorado is seeking a Long Term Substitute Preschool Paraprofessional for Strawberry Park Elementary. The role begins 11/09/2026 and runs through 06/02/2027, with entry pay between $26.11 and $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will assist Lead Teacher with classroom setup, student support, and project preparation, while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred Associate's Degree in ECE or minimum of 15 completed semester credits in ECE at an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• Ability to work cooperatively on a team with other professionals.
• Mobility to restrain students and assist with daily activities as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Assist Lead Teacher with classroom preparation and management at daily start/end and school year transitions.
• Support student learning, manage small groups, and help implement curriculum.
• Plan unit themes, prepare materials, and create bulletin boards to support themes.
• Maintain classroom order and assist with behavior management as needed.
• Maintain records and communicate with parents via email, newsletters, and meetings.
• Support students with IEP goals and document progress for assessment.
