Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom or special education teacher with instructional support.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and monitor student safety.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, feeding and mobility as needed.
• Record student behavior and progress; assist with IEP documentation.
• Attend trainings and participate in team meetings.
