Job summary

Steamboat Springs School District is seeking qualified Substitute Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions are district-wide, temporary and on-call, paid at $26.11 per hour and not eligible for benefits.

AESOP/Frontline is used to contact substitutes as needed, with the expectation of reapplying annually. Selected candidates will support instructional and non-instructional needs across special education, preschool, and health room settings under licensed teachers' supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work with diverse students and grade levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and daily routines under licensed teacher supervision.
• Support student supervision and safety in various settings (recess, lunch, arrival/departure).
• Prepare materials and help with clerical tasks as needed.
• Follow district guidance for IEP goals and instructional plans.
