Job summary

Community Council Of Idaho Inc is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Preschool Assistant to support the classroom from April through December. You will assist the teacher with curriculum, health checks, and developmental screening while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a CDA credential (or pursuing CDA), and a valid driver's license with background and health clearances. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preschool CDA credential required.
• Enrolled in a CDA program to be completed in 2 years or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance.
• Must obtain tuberculosis clearance and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher with planning and conducting a classroom curriculum and activities for assigned children.
• Assist in daily health checks of children and monitoring developmental screenings.
• Assist with IEPs/IFSPs for children and families.
• Supervise classroom activities in the absence of the Teacher.
• Prepare, maintain, and present records, documents, and reviews.
• Maintain safe, supportive learning environments and bilingual development when possible.
• May perform bus monitor duties once trained and ensure confidentiality of records.

Education

Highschool Diploma or GED

Preschool CDA credential

Enrolled in CDA program to be completed in 2 years

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
