Job summary

Community Council Of Idaho is seeking an entry-level Preschool Assistant for MSHS LA ADELITA, Caldwell, ID 83605. This seasonal full-time position supports the classroom, assists with curriculum delivery, health checks, and monitoring child progress.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, a Preschool CDA credential (or enrollment in a 2-year CDA program), and a valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance. Background checks and TB clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preschool CDA credential required.
• Enrolled in CDA program to complete within 2 years.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Pass physical examination and background checks, including state daycare clearance.
• Tuberculosis clearance required.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher with planning and delivering curriculum to support child development.
• Assist in daily health checks of children.
• Assist in developmental screenings and implementing IEPs/IFSPs.
• Monitor progress of individual children.
• Supervise classroom in Teacher's absence.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports.
• Support dual-language development in the classroom.
• Help prepare children for transition to kindergarten.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Engage children to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, and creativity.
