Job summary

The Community Council of Idaho in Idaho Falls is seeking an Entry-level Preschool Aide to support classroom activities at MSHS LA ESTRELLITA. This seasonal full-time role requires a High School/GED and a CDA, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preschool CDA credential required; CDA program completion within 2 years is acceptable.
• An associate degree in Early Childhood Education is acceptable in lieu of a CDA.
• Current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.
• Must pass physicals and background checks including daycare clearance.
• Tuberculosis clearance is required.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher with planning and conducting classroom activities to foster language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills.
• Assist in daily health checks of children.
• Assist with developmental screening and IEPS/IFSPs for children and families.
• Monitor progress of individual children and supervise activities in teacher’s absence.
• Maintain records and prepare reports and reviews.
• Help develop dual language in the classroom and prepare children for kindergarten transition.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment and age-appropriate rules.
