Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled Presales Application Engineer – Busway to support our power distribution portfolio for data centers, commercial, and industrial applications. This role translates customer requirements into technically compliant busway designs and coordinates with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing throughout the pre-sales process.

You will develop layouts, review equipment specifications, ensure NEC/IEEE/NEMA compliance, and help optimize lead times and cost

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of busway systems, sizing, and applications.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL 857, NEMA and IEEE standards.
• Ability to translate concepts into manufacturable busway designs.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical expertise in busway selection, sizing, configuration, and application.
• Review specifications, one-lines, and layouts to develop busway solutions.
• Develop layouts considering ampacity, voltage, and system scalability.
• Ensure NEC/UL/NEMA/IEEE compliance for all solutions.
• Translate customer concepts into practical designs aligned with product platforms.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop technical proposals and scope clarifications.
• Coordinate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to verify feasibility and lead times.
• Prepare technical documentation: busway layouts, diagrams, schedules, and submittals.
• Support customer meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities to reduce cost and improve installation.
