The Role
You will operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials. Working alongside 160 employee‑owners in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while serving essential markets including food, consumer goods, industrial, and healthcare.
Schedule
- Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2‑2‑3 schedule
- Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
- Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
- 12‑hour static shifts (Nights ‑ 6:00 pm – 6:00 am)
What You'll Do
- Translate written and computer-generated layout specification into the requirements for mounting plates
- Prepare plates to be mounted
- Clean plates if necessary
- Perform minor repairs if needed
- Apply plates properly using correct materials
- Set up job using plate mounter
- Perform visual inspections of plate and plate components for defects
- Troubleshoot print issues in relation to plates, sleeves, and inks
- Complete required documentation and obtain required signatures
- File plates to ensure the integrity of the plates and filing system
- Participate in quality, continuous improvement, and safety
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
- Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Strong time management skills
- Perform basic math skills
- Obtain accurate geometric measurements with a variety of instruments
- Strong self‑starter who encourages self‑motivation
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary
- Wages ranging from $25.00 ‑ $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
