Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Irving, TX is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to assist with scheduling, oversee displays, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Prepared Foods department.

You will train team members, manage inventory, uphold safety standards, and provide outstanding service to customers while supporting the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader to maintain high performance and store goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational and customer relationship abilities.
• Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Product knowledge and regulatory/safety policy understanding.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and operations-related apps.
• Leadership and decision-making abilities with delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with trainers to build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using learning materials.
• Maintains clean, stocked and rotated cases and shelves.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given and team concerns are communicated to leadership.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution and teamwork.
• Monitors customer flows and directs Team Members to delight customers.
• Mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to sustain high performance.
• Delivers timely performance evaluations and models WFM goals.
